Good Lord! My eyes to the Harms of Aluminium in Human Body was first opened in around early 2019 when I Was researching the Harms of HPV Injections which led me to you & your research which again , further made my eyes to change position from Open to Popped!! & then onto Fiji water permanently.

I am also a Wine enthusiast & have NEVER liked the screw top bottles & in fact I never buy them & in restaurants, I never order a bottle that is a screw top simply because I have always thought that they are not PROPER, A Cheap Alternative for Vineyards & I could never see a screw top to mature as well as a Cork bottle! they are just consumables!!

I hadn't thought about the Aluminium connection in Screw Tops!! But Now I have another reason to continue to avoid them.

Hi,

Another great piece.

I’m not a wine drinker. (And I just didn't expect this to grab me very much being honest).

But as always it was important, insightful, fresh and thought provoking.

I’m glad to be reminded of packaging when I often focus on the shots ingredient. Dose and frequency outside of delivery.

The editor of the wine magazine is so negligent to avoid this topic.

But more at this stage the promotion element, plus shady treatment of your input, does seem to point to something wilful and Intentional at this stage as you rightly state !

Thank you 🙏

Another source of contamination for wine:

I still have some oldies but goodies down in the cave, 86's, 90's... The grand cru wines in particular have fared well from those years, as have their "capsules". Some bottles however have leaked a bit through their corks, and the capsules can become quite corroded.

Now, most people I know, and restauarants, when opening a wine, will just cut the top of the capsule off, pull the cork, and serve. But after pouring, a drop or two remaining at the lip of the bottle will then seep down between the part of the capsule still enshrouding the bottle, and the bottle itself. On next pouring, we can expect a little of that will then mix with the next pouring.

Most modern capsules, except for the really big grand cru classé, are made of... aluminum!

Even worse, capsules from awhile back, the thick soft ones, appear to be made of even worse: tin, lead, who knows, and if they have been corroded over time, might well release significant quantities of heavy metal as those after-pouring drops then mix with new pourings.

ALWAYS remove the capsule completely, and wipe any residue from the neck of the bottle.

It seems hopeless what to do about this & other industrial byproduct toxins found just about everywhere. But apart from trying to engage people in the subject through conversation, there is another way that has to do with how & to whom one gives the (monopoly) money we have to spend. A more careful appraisal as to which businesses we direct that money to & support, may help in a very small way in shifting things.

I cringed when I saw the title because I love a nice glass of red. In Fiji water, we trust!

A bit off topic here. But I came across a water company that states "Silicawater is naturally infused with silica as it filters underground", it further states "it can be used to combat aluminium, a neurotoxic metal in many everyday products".

Apologies if this is a silly question, but how does this differ from silica dust / crystalline silica, where one is said to have health benefits and the other a health hazard?

You are right to ask. There is no 'silica' in silicon-rich mineral waters, just silicic acid. See previous posts and my book for much more on this.

Thanks for another interesting article. What irritates is the total lack of acknowledgment from people who must know something about the toxicity of packaging. We must be surrounded by toxic particles constantly. All adding to our toxic load if ingested, absorbed through the skin or breathed in. I’ve been reading about using cilantro as a general detox. Any thoughts?

No expertise on this but there is no evidence that it is helpful in removing aluminium from the body.

glass bottles and cork stoppers are the best. Reject anything else even if they tell you it is "merlot" after doubled controled fermentation during full moon and harvested at nigth singing mantras. That is all added poecia to a industrial product.

Thank you Doc!

Wine in bottles with a cork, I agree.

This makes me feel good about being teetotal ;).

It was a facetious comment. I have no doubt there is aluminium in everything.

Lol - I did think it probably was! However, the good news is that beer (often or usually or always?) contains silicic acid.

However, for those who aren't TT, as my dad would've said have the beer before the wine as "Beer on wine is a swine; wine on beer is a cheer" (one of many versions of that saying, but he was Swiss so maybe he translated it!)

That means she doesn’t drink. LOL!

Erm, do you not worry about micro plastics leaching from the bottle?

Thank you! I have a place to start :)

Hello there. I have just entered this new world. Please, can someone point me in the direction of a silicon-rich mineral water? I have enough to research as it is. Yours very gratefully, Jersey

Dr. Exley is there any merit in the claim that Cilantro can detox against Aluminium? Is it a possibility given the biochemistry of cilantro?

No evidence that I am aware of.

Dear Dr Exley

Would you be able to have a look at this vaccinated v unvaccinated study and give us your thoughts?

They surveyed over 4000 unvacinated people to compare to the vaccinated population and the outcomes were stark.

They found that the unvaccinated suffered zero incidents of cancer, heart disease and diabetes?
